"Seriously."

I don't think most people are even aware of the Scarlet Spider, in the Marvel Universe; and Kaine probably is only known by true-crime fans...and the hardest of hardened criminals. Stories about him would spread in prisons and bars, as well as speculation: what happened to that guy? Why isn't he running NYC, for that matter?

Also, moderate tirade here: if the Marvel Universe had Kalshi, there's no way Hypno-Hustler would ever collect. Isn't there another "bet on anything" app, too? They both suck. And they both feel like total scams, even if most of the bets are nickel-and-dime longshots, 'cause the only people that seem to be cashing in have inside knowledge. Too bad this county doesn't have like a justice department or anything to investigate that kinda thing. Anyway, avoid the gambling bug!

Thankfully for me Gambling never appealed to me, not even for fun or buying the occasional scratch offs. Just seems like burning money with extra steps. Anyhoo…

Kaine, especially OG Kaine, definitely made his bones back in the day didn’t he? Has he gone back to that particular look now? I remember his red & black look.

  2. I'm too cheap to gamble, I'd rather blow the money on soda and comics. Sadly, this doesn't spare me from all the ads for betting apps.

Kaine did at one point barge into a courtroom where Parker (well, Ben Reilly pretending to be Peter) was on trial for kind of a lot of murders. Then Kaine ripped off his mask and announced he surgically altered his face and fingerprints to match Parker's so he could frame him for all those murders.

I feel like something that crazy (and there were all kinds of people from the Daily Bugle at the trial, no way that didn't make headlines), plus "killing Doc Ock and (a) Kraven" would at least give a guy a rep as a dangerous wackaloon, especially to goobers like Crossfire and Hypno-Hustler.

It absolutely would, yes. I imagine JJJ would’ve given the whole thing the Gulf War coverage the media did back in the day.

  3. I feel like eating a bunch of Spider-Mans (Spider-Men?) would get a lot of publicity. Unless that’s a different Kaine- this is the Spider-Verse guy too, right? My knowledge of Spider-Verse mainly is flipping through to see if my favorite variants are there.

Absolutely it would! It’d be simultaneously scary AF & pretty badass.
