Admittedly, I was curious too...

I thought it was a little odd that Isamot Kol (who has appeared in the comics, but I'm not positive I've ever read any with him) was from Thanagar; since traditionally the best known inhabitants of that world are the Hawkpolice (or 'Wingmen of Thanagar,' if you prefer) like Hawkman or Hawkwoman. But, I re-read Hawkworld a couple weeks back, and there was a very substantial population of alien immigrants on Thanagar.

Isamot's from the Green Lantern movie figures, and probably not quite in scale with the DCUC figures like Hawkman; although that's open to interpretation since how big should your space alligator guy be? Finally got the new Kyle Rayner figure as well--he was a tough one to find--and he's pretty cool...although he just seems like Shiera would eat him alive. And now I'm stuck with this image in my head of Kyle being the DC hero little girls put on their walls...

  1. ALL the little tweens have Kyle on their walls! The slightly older ones have Nightwing.

Frankly, Isamot is one heck of a cool lantern. He's also getting a figure soon from DC, which is supposed to be coming out soon. They usually have him in the Green Lantern Corps books, paired up with Vath Sarn, who is...naturally...a Rannian.

  2. I really want some Guardian figures, because my god, they seem like terrible bosses. Rannians partnered up with Thanagarians, carnivores with herbivores, balloon animals with porcupines...

  3. Man, the Guardians are real jerks sometimes.

    Wait...sometimes?

  4. More like all the time. I love the open marriage comment by hawkgirl; googum you still rock. Damn, now I wish I had a kyle figure. The only option I have near me is the GLC Star Sapphire(which is a no for me), and the Mesophyll/Fish GL combo. I thinking I'll go with the plant/fish head combo GL myself.
