Want to stop online piracy? Sure, we all do. Too bad SOPA--the Stop Online Piracy Act--is not going to be the way to do it. The potential for abuse alone makes it a bad idea, but take a second to
read about it--you'll have a chance to, since Wikipedia and a number of other sites will be 'dark' Wednesday--and if you agree (or even if you don't, for that matter) take a moment to contact your
Representative and tell them what you think. (Even if you didn't vote for them--I voted against mine, possibly more than once!)
Next Wednesday, we'll be back to normal--hopefully--with a new homemade strip. Back tomorrow, see you then.
I say E for effort for some of the 'sites, well except for Craigslist because they're evil, and really, who hasn't been killed, almost killed, or raped and/or robbed by posting ads/answering ads there? Seriously they are the ones giving other 'sties a very bad name.
ReplyDeleteI've never used Craigslist, but they get a bad rap...probably not entirely undeserved. If someone was offering a big pile of action figures there, I'd be afraid: that sounds like a surefire way to get molested.
ReplyDeleteYeah it does, especially to action figure nuts like ourselves! It'd have to be an inmpressive bunch of figures being offered for a hell of a deal for me to even continplate answering those ads!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, if I ever read on the news that some poor bastard from Seattle was the latest victim of a craigslist scam, I'll at least hope the amount of figures offered was worth it....which it probably will be. Ha!
