Ooh, topical. Could probably reprint it every 6-7 years.

Probably have to update the prices, I suppose. And maybe Betty's pants. From 1971, Betty and Me #33, cover by Dan DeCarlo.
This copy's missing a few interior pages, but the opener "My Way.." is pretty good, as Archie decides from now on, he's going to live his life his way! Veronica rightly assumes that's going to be a trainwreck, but Betty thinks she can help--wait, can you help someone go "their way"? How many ways are there anymore? You can't exactly blaze a new trail every time you go to the malt shop.

Leave it to a guy named Topley to post a topical blog posting that will sadly AWLAYS be topical just based off the cover alone.

That one panel also illustrates why Betty was always the ideal option for Archie; she may not have had Veronica's money or bad girl appeal, but she was ALWAYS supportive (to a fault) about what he wanted to do in life.

Eh, I think Veronica's the better option for just about the opposite reason. She challenges him to up his game or at least try something different. The best option's probably a third choice though- less hurt feelings and bodies.

Maybe Archie wanted to be more like Frank Sinatra and that's why he was so insistent about the whole "My Way" thing.

@H: You're probably right about that. Apparently him & Sabrina dated for brief while not too long ago & they seemed to fit each other better than any other combination. I say why not revisit that again.
