Kurt doesn't even spend that much time with either Azazel or Mystique; but I guarantee he has heard the details of his conception in Penthouse Forum level detail from both of them. I think Kurt's more comfortable with sex than some X-types (or how he was written in Way of X) but Azazel and Mystique probably consider him 'square' and easily shocked. And like most senior X-Men, Kurt is completely unphased by weird earth-shattering revelations from his past: secret siblings, parent reveals, kids from alternate timelines, the occasional clone. He's seen it.
While HE does make a strong case for being the one solely responsible for making Kurt, he's also forgetting the basics of DNA & heredity here in that as each parent donates half of their DNA it's all thrown randomly into the generic lottery, which in turn keeps moving around & turning like a Powerball segment at night. Kurt could just as easily gotten everything from the mixture of those two particular sets of genes, ESPECIALLY because who knows how random & interchangeable Mystiques DNA is since she's a shape-shifter. Add demon DNA to that equation, and it's not really as far-fetched as HE makes it all out to be that Kurt became the way he did. Makes me wonder why the Beast never extensively studied Mystique's DNA considering that sort of thing would be VERY fascinating to him.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds dirty when you say it like that, Morbid. Hank has always been a ladies' man though, so he could make it work.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Mystique is extremely open about her sex life, even around Kurt. When you can be anyone or anything (when Sat brought up farm animals, I was concerned for a second you were going to go there), anything a normal human could do seems vanilla.
I'm willing to believe the High Evolutionary on this one though. Guy's had more secret 'projects' than even Sinister and he doesn't seem to have 'boundaries' or 'a sense of decency'. It would be like doing the crossword to him.
Ha, it really could huh H? I can only imagine what XXX-Men fanfiction says about this topic of Mystique.
