"Fire."

We'll doubtless discuss Daimon Hellstrom more in depth next time, but his figure...Look, I know it doubtless was unfeasible for so many reasons, but the Son of Satan really needs the chariot and horses he had his first issue. Three horses, even! I don't know if there's any explanation why we don't see that anymore, or if artists just didn't want to draw it now. I also don't recall if Daimon had to park, or I guess stable the horses, or if he could just summon it from nowhere like Johnny Blaze used to make a hellfire cycle. Ah, but if his chariot was made, Hercules had something similiar, or at least borrowed: Apollo lent him his, in the first Bob Layton mini-series! Well, it's not like I have the room anyway, but I've been having a hard time getting a single, properly scaled horse. I haven't looked super hard, but so far they're either too big or too small.

Huh. Well that’s definitely the 1st time I’ve ever seen Damien Hellstrom referred to as a “male goth stripper.” I’m just sure his daddy will love that one.
Speaking of Hellstrom, exactly who do you have to F/Marry/Kill/Bribe over at Hasbro to get a classic Son of Satan figure!? It can’t be that hard because customizers have been doing it for years now, so I’m not sure what Hasbro’s excuse is when they have no problem putting out figures like Hypno-Hustler, the Grizzly, Warbow & Razorback for F’s sake! In a recent related note, they’ll finally be releasing a classic 1st appearance Ghost Rider, complete with customizable red motorcycle next month.

I can totally see what Logan described happening to the Hellfire Club actually happening to them in the comics or real life as well. That’s just kinda how it’s been going for those kinds of franchise places as of late.

Anyhoo, can’t wait to see how this story plays out next week.

I feel like I've seen Hellstrom with the chariot a couple of times in the last 15-20 years. Maybe that "Vengeance" mini-series Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta did that I think was the introduction of America Chavez. There was a Defenders mini-series back around Civil War that used Hellstrom, too, it might have had the chariot. Actually, Casey might have written that, too.

Jason Aaron had the Hellfire Club get taken over by a bunch of snotty rich kids, didn't he? That's about what I'd figure happened here. Nepobabies just killing the vibe. Can't get a good sifter of brandy any longer, nobody's wearing corsets, just a total letdown. . .

I believe that’s what they call “progress.” 🙄
