"Spindle."

For the time being anyway, this is the last strip with Misty Knight; partly because her wobbly knee made her a bit of trouble to shoot, partly because it was too crowded. Valkyrie and Thundra are probably around somewhere...

I don't know if Spidey 2099 has run into the Black Cat yet: it's mildly surprising there wasn't a Black Cat 2099, for that matter. Well, Peter David only had a few of those: I remember Vulture and Venom and Green Goblin 2099 from the first series; there may have been some more since then. Anyway, Marvel does seem to be big on punishing for future crimes, if Civil War II is any indication...

"Jackal."

I think the plural of "Spidey" should probably be "Spidies" but that looks terrible: "Spidey's" is technically wrong, but looks better? Or I'm trying to justify a typo. Hmm.

"Defiled."

The Jackal figure wasn't even a blip on the radar when I started this plotline, so I can't pretend I had that all planned. Also unplanned: I still haven't found Misty Knight's gun! I would actually have to consider, if I saw another one on the cheap, since the right knee on my figure is wobbly.

"Disclosure."

That stupid file was first mentioned almost two years ago, in "Housesit." And it may have only been a joke at the time, but after multiple episodes of people showing up to steal it (and S.H.I.E.L.D. running a sting to pick up criminals trying for it) I had an idea for what was in it. Namely, that having Kurt's name in it but scratched would be dramatic. Wolverine's name is in there as well, but I believe his corpse is encased in adamantium somewhere; even if you knew where it was, it might be problematic to get.

I'm pretty sure Peter David gave Multiple Man a pretty satisfying ending when X-Factor wrapped, so of course that was crapped all over in the recent crossover Death of X. Which I won't recommend, even if Cyclops is killed off. Still, Multiple Man has had dupes killed all over the place, there's probably more out there; but trying to keep track of his corpses would be a job.

But what would someone do with mutant (and superhero) corpses? And genetic material...there's a few answers, coming up later!

"Fauxhold."

Sadly, the panel with the two Hobgoblins, was supposed to have a third one: I still have the previous version from the Spider-Man line of some years back. (We see him in an episode of "Timing," an old series here that got away from me like this one!) I think it would compare pretty favorably with the new Marvel Legends version, and might even have a better glider.

I kind of liked the Baron Mordo figure from Dr. Strange, although he didn't come with his Staff of the Living Tribunal, just a stick. He also seemed like too classy a guy to give Satana a lot of hassle.

"Rumble."

I'm almost 90% positive the NY State Comptroller race wasn't affected by voter fraud or tampering. Other races...well...

Actually, every time we see Black Cat steal something here, it ends up being a disaster for her. And Val and Thundra were going to destroy the apartment again, until I liked the idea of Val pulling a shank better. Not sure the apartment is out of the woods yet, though.

"Room."

Honestly...I'm aware of Vine, but I don't think I've ever been there. Until writing this post, anyway.

The sofa's a new piece, which actually has a backstory! It's a promo piece that came with the S.H. Figuarts Iron Man Mk.42. (If you have a hankering for it, please go through a site with an affiliate program that gets some kickback!)

The Black Cat/crimelord story is really going to be in Patsy Walker: Hellcat, even though I still don't think Felicia would risk it. I haven't been following it closely; I'm not sure she ever realized the Spider-Man that put her in jail was the Superior, Doc Ock.

In other news, I do wonder when I'll find Misty's gun...

"Reconstruct."

I usually alternate the Kurt & Pool and the Satana/Black Cat strips, but I'm having some computer trouble! First I had to update to Windows 10, then it decided to update my drivers into the ground. Still working on it, but I'm not sure about the rest of this week. And I have a massive pile of quarterbooks to get to, too...
