"Ch'od."
Ch'od sold that wave for me: I probably would've picked up Corsair and Timber Wolf-knockoff Fang, but not the rest without him. That said, I did end up getting a couple extra Chambers, for headswaps with the Tracksuit Mafia skimask guys! I forget if I mentioned that here, or just on Twitter 'X' Twitter.

Idk about you guys, but where I currently live I'm DEFINITELY feeling the effects of global warming. Heading to the beach this weekend for my birthday so I'll let you know if the water's as hot as it is in FL, which I hear is basically like sitting in public hot tub in front of a shit ton of strangers in beach clothes.
I'm guessing shenanigans happen and Ch'Od does in fact eat at least one person, hopefully a Republican/Trumper/Muskbro. I'd have of course HIGHLY recommend taking strong heartburn medicine IMMEDITAELY afterwards.
Wait- an alien swamp monster CHUD with a little furry Kree pet? Somebody was laughing their head off when they came up with that. It seems like they put all their silliest ideas in the space teams at Marvel. Still, there are more than enough aliens roaming around NYC in Marvel so he wouldn't be too out of place.
@H: Truth! But technically speaking Ch'od debuted 1st, around Jan of '77, while the movie C.H.U.D. came out 7 years late in '84.
But yeah, it seems like a lot of Marvel space characters got the got the fun, punny names.
I feel like the term CHUD has been around a good deal longer than the movie, at least since the late 60's/early 70's- around the time that the urban legend about the giant sewer gators started. Not sure though- I'm not a New Yorker, and that sort of information tends to travel in 'friend of a friend' ways.
