Things I Don't Get, Real or Imagined, Part One
Even though I agree with a lot of what he's got to say, I swear to god, I would vote for Perot over Nader.
Yeah, I'd probably take a free newspaper from an evil Russian Monk, or Warren Ellis, sure.
When I ask, 'Why do people watch Power of Truth?' I probably mean, 'Why did I watch Power of Truth?'
Just a short one this week: The Wife's not feeling well, so I had to get the Youngest to therapy, school, and therapy preschool. He should be beat, but he's doing pretty well. I'm beat.

I dunno about DC, but in Marvel all the underwater tech is old and abandoned Deviant technology, which answers how a barbaric civilization could design computers and large industrial machinery under water.

It's funny how quickly a lot of superhero logic falls apart as soon as even the slightest common sense is applied.

For instance, Batman's identity. In the today's world, your average CSI could probably figure that out in a day.

Sleestak: I don't know if DC's stuck to this, but isn't some of the Atlantis stuff the sunken-continent survivors, and some aliens from an old Legion issue? Which would explain why they have technology, and chairs. Maybe. And, I just gave this more thought than I did my job today.

Captain: I know I watched the Muppets as a kid, but have only the vaguest recollections of any episodes. (I remember quite clearly, missing the Star Wars one, to go to a basketball game.) But the Muppet Newsman came with a very nice phone, one of my favorite accessories, that's shown up before here.

Sally: Always a pleasure! And I messed up on that New Frontier DVD, I thought it came with the full-size figure. Oops.

Poe: Dave's Long Box had a pretty definitive post on why the Batmobile would be more of a pain in the ass than it would be worth. Cell phone cameras alone...but, I want Batman to have a Batmobile, so you have to work out, if he had it, what would he have to do for it to work? Are people ready for Bats to have the Batman Beyond style flying Batmobile? Maybe.
