Is this a terrible plan? Would cramming two objects' molecules together risk a fusion explosion?...maybe, but I think the odds are somewhat long. I know I saw Elisa Cameron pull a similar stunt in an old issue of Ghost, where she phases a lead planter into leaded glass, causing a nuclear explosion. But lead is heavier, atomic-number wise, right? It's a maybe.
