"Lighting."
I've said before, and I'm sure I will again: I love Elektra as Daredevil. She was getting her own mini-series and such for a bit, guest-spots in Amazing Spider-Man, one of the leads in the later Savage Avengers...

I definitely do too, it suits her actually, much better than we some other characters that are forced to use established personas, as has been the case for a while now over there. I get it. It’s a quick “Hey wouldn’t this be cool?” but it’s an overly relied on gimmick substituting real innovation.
That being said, I definitely do love how that DD Elektra figure came out.
Definitely recommend Savage Avengers as well. It shouldn’t work yet it really does, even with Conan later taken off the board.
Ok, indulge me- why would Elektra need or want to be Daredevil? Seems a bit too much like doing drag, and from what I understand she’s not into that sort of thing. I’m also getting Zelda-as-Sheik vibes, and I don’t think that really meshes with her either. I will admit that shot of her reaching over the bar and the ‘kabong’ sound effect are nice.
Has Logan’s facemask always been pulled up in this storyline? Granted, I don’t think there was ever a shot of him from behind but I didn’t notice until Elektra knocked him down and it didn’t look like it from the front.
From my understanding & from what Goo told me, the reason why she took up the mantle was because Matt was willingly staying in prison due to guilt over accidentally killing a person, so Elektra took over while he couldn’t & decided she could do a better job of being DD, if only she could kill.
Hmm, sounds a bit like when Doc Ock did the Superior Spider-Man thing then. Not sure there needs to be a Daredevil always though- I think it’d be fine until he got out. Also, not really fooling anyone- kinda obvious the real Daredevil’s not a tall thin woman.
It wasn’t that she was intending to pretend she was Matt, as she seemingly but secretly relished being someone other than herself at the time.
Logan's mask wasn't there the whole time! I swapped it in, maybe the first time I changed heads. (I said I was a casual Logan fan, and there were like three in that bin!)
I liked Zdarsky's run, even if I don't sound like it here: Matt was in jail--as DD, but still masked--and was going to serve out his sentence for some baloney. Elektra pretty rightly called it as Catholic guilt getting the best of him, and he sort of challenged her: the streets still needed somebody...not you, though. This might just be my read on it, but she took up the DD's with real "I'll show him" energy. Her take at first was like, 'how would Matt do this? In the stupidest, hardest way possible' but she took to it later.
