I didn't think I was that far behind on this series, but I hadn't bought it since getting issue #5 some years back when Borders went under, but I just got Adam Warren's Empowered #6 the other day from Hastings...which is also going under. (It was a new copy though, still wrapped!) And Empowered is up to volume 9 and a collection of Empowered Unchained, which includes Brandon Graham's Internal Medicine one-shot.
Despite having started as superheroine-in-distress bondage pin-ups, Empowered has gone on to become surprisingly affecting. Immensely worth reading, and I'm glad I'm not caught up on it yet. But I am out for the long weekend, so have fun!
