"Longshot."

No commentary today; I'm sick! Either I got "con crud" from the show, or my kids got me sick; which they used to all the time.

Hope you get better soon man. Had a viral stomach bug that put me in the hospital 3 weeks ago, so I hear ya.

Has anyone explained why Longshot keeps getting his memory wiped? It’s not just because of Mojo right!? I still remember that weird ass one-shot from ‘98 by J.M. DeMatteis & art by Michael Zulli. Weird. Like it read like a Vertigo book weird.

I wonder who is expecting that bag full of drugs, and what they're gonna do when it doesn't arrive. . .

I thought it really was that Mojo keeps capturing Longshot and wiping his memory, but I kind of like Sat's theory here. If Longshot's powers only work when his motives are pure, and if good luck for him means someone else gets bad luck, then being able to remember his past, especially the wrongs done to him or the times where other people suffered for his good fortune, might make it impossible for him to either keep pure motives, or even use his powers at all.

Although I feel like, other than Ann Nocenti, the only writer who ever explores the concept of the downsides of Longshot's powers was Chris Hastings in his Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe mini-series.

Also, I gotta push back on the "Longshot's a worse X-Man than Gambit" tag. Longshot never worked for Mr. Sinister or Apocalypse (and I mean back when that was a bad thing, before the bygones be bygones Krakoa-era.)

Solid point there Calvin. Unfortunately Gambit's just way more popular than Longshot will ever be.
