Elektra's now DD, Kurt's going to be Spidey, and Natasha's going to be Venom? So much for "just be yourself."

Not if you can be Daredevil, though! I went out of my way to grab her early, and immediately had to pop off her head: I almost thought the scarf was going to be attached. I wish I had more time to play with her, but I have to mow my lawn here shortly--a chore I've avoided for several years now and am not looking forward to; but my landlords apparently proclaimed it must be done and conveniently forgot they used to do it. I'm super irritated, if you couldn't guess. The lawn's been nothing but weeds for like two years.

One quick one here, then take the rest of the day off, and have a good weekend!

To quote Alice Cooper “Welcome to my nightmare.” I HATE having to mow as much as I hate the ever-growing unbearable heat & humidity that is summer down here in the south. I can usually go two weeks without having to mow, unless it happens to rain profusely and often during a single week, then it’s every other week instead.

Wait so Natasha’s becoming the new host for Venom now??? This really feels random AF, as there’s honestly very little personal or passing history between the two characters.
Feels like the trend of replacing established characters with new ones filling the roles is back again but with a modified twist. Can we blame Rascally Roy Thomas for inadvertently starting all of this when he had Clint temporarily assume the role of Goliath?

Legitimately happy for you that you were able to get a figure Darelektra while she’s still in said role. I know they’ll inevitably roll her back to her original status quo, but honestly a him & her Daredevil couple feels like a natural progression to me.

They announced Matt in his beardy version of that costume, and right this second I have zero interest in the Mindless One wave except for Clea? Who Hasbro is totally making now so they can do a movie one later.

Time for brutal honesty: I hate the smell of cut grass, because it reminds me of mowing the lawn in high school, blisteringly hungover. I'd try to power through like "oh no, I didn't do anything last night," and later blame my dog for the pile of vomit that mysteriously appeared out there...

Oh, and the Natasha change: I can see Spidey chirping up "Maybe everyone's changing up. Maybe I'll get to be the new Thor...aw, I'm the new Thing? Boo."

There's worse things (pardon the pun) than being The Thing. Plus, there's enough alternate universe/other people versions that I'm surprised there's no Thing Corps or Spider-Thing yet.

Now, I could see Spidey being bummed about being the new Moon Knight. "I already know white's not my color, and I got enough problems without a giant with a bird skull on his head to answer to ... Oh, hey Marc! Yeah, Khonshu's great and all that! Gotta go!"

Considering how badly his books are doing due how poorly he’s currently being written, I would not rule out Marvel putting him in another identity

Is anyone really clamoring for a bearded DD figure!? I mean certain people will, but overall that seems like a REALLY fringey figure to waste a spot on.
Definitely glad Clea’s finally being made but yeah, if they were going the Midnight Sons route for figures, why 90’s Johnny Blaze, 90’s Blade, Lilith & 90’s Danny Ketch GR wasn’t made I’ll never know. Blackout too, fook it.

Give it time. I can definitely see a multiversal Thing Corps debuting in the next 5-10 years, much like the Spiderverse. Definitely should include the “Thing ring! Do your thing!” Kid.

The Thing ring actually is a part of the main continuity- the second FF volume (the one with the Allred covers) had a girl who used it. I think she called herself Miss Thing or something like that.

If they do a Thingverse or Thing Corps or whatever they'd call it, they should definitely include the TV cartoon versions like they did in Spiderverse. The 60's Fantastic Four show needs more recognition.

I thought she was just using a spare Thing suit?

She was, but she activated it with the Thing ring- not the exact same results as the one in the show but still the same chant and activation method.
