The planet Lotiara is actually an in-continuity Marvel planet, albeit not one often visited.
Today's homage--well, swipe--is Star Trek: the Next Generation episode "Conundrum", in which the crew's memory is wiped, they have a mysterious mission to destroy an enemy they can't remember, and there's a new officer that the audience hasn't seen before...it's a good one.

Vance is, anyway. I wanted to work in a line about him having fought the Badoon multiple times and that his timeline kept resetting, but couldn't fit it in.
While he's not bad, I know I bought him for what, a Mantis BAF part? Since who knows if the rest of the future Guardians will ever get made. Of course, I said the same thing when I skipped buying DCUC Gold, and missed all the Metal Men. Darn.

Hell I was impressed with him the moment I saw him! I'd love to see the rest of the original Guardians, but who knows when and IF that'll ever happen. Maybe, especially once GoTG 3 rolls out, Who knows.
