"Hairless."

I know Howard referred to humans as "hairless apes" a lot in his series, but does that raise the question, were there apes on Duckworld? Had Howard seen them before ending up on earth? Or did he learn that comparison afterwards? Not really sure about that. It shows up in his brief magazine run, but we don't see Duckworld very often; and what we do see of it doesn't exactly make it seem like a utopia any more than here does.
For good measure, in another of Marvel's black-and-white mags from about the same time, we get a Nightcrawler duck and Vanisher rat, from Bizarre Adventures #27! Art by Dave Cockrum.

Legit got a nice chuckle out of this. I'm sure the Exiles series might've actually eventually gotten around to a universe filled with nothing but people looking like Kurt. At least it should've. Yeah I can imagine how much like burnt, smokey, rotten-egg ass his BAMF 'port cloud must be. Must smell like home to Satana though...right? Probably gives her a confusing mix of bad childhood memories and pleasant ones since it's directly associated with Kurt.

The Frank cameo is an odd one. Like where the hell'd he come from? Was he passively listening to Howard's conversation this entire time but really perked up once he mentioned cigars?

Looking forward to seeing this continue from here....

I don't remember where it was, but I remember reading something about how Duckworld is just like Earth but with ducks as the humans instead of primates. They probably have zoos with apes like we do. Calling us hairless apes is like if a human was on Duckworld and called them shirt-wearing ducks.
