Of all the characters and storylines to jettison in Crisis...

I'm not sure what's more impressive: the 'energy-envelope,' or that Luthor was able to find, costume, and build a tandem jetpack for conjoined twins. Pluto and Plato must be pretty firmly attached, though; because I would've thought that two jetpacks, if even a little misaligned, would tear them apart.

As is pretty much standard for Luthor, though, the twins are absolute mouth-breathers. Aside from possibly Mercy, and his medical staff from the pre-clone days; has Luthor ever had a decent henchman? I suppose during the hiring process, the sheer joy of Siamese twin goons would overshadow the lack of competency. Maybe Lex only pays them one salary, I don't know.

Superman probably finally got sick of those conjoined yokels blasting him with Luthor's newest weapons while simultaneously making him look like a bully for hitting the twins. Bet Supes 'accidentally' separated the two with his heat vision or something. Still, Pluto and Plato were pioneers in the field of super-villain lackeys, and you should take a minute out of your day to remember them.

OK, that's long enough.
